Tixel Purchase Price for Burning Man

At Tixel, fairness and transparency are kind of our thing ✨

We’re all about making sure both buyers and sellers feel confident every step of the way. A big part of that? Making it crystal clear what goes into the final ticket price on Tixel.

🤔 How are Burning Man ticket prices calculated on Tixel?

To ensure fairness for Sellers, we let them choose a listing price, within Tixel's capped range of 5.9%, based on what they paid for the ticket. That means the face value plus any fees and taxes paid at the time of purchase, or what we call the Original Purchase Price.

Still wondering about the difference between “Face Value”, “Original Purchase Price”, and “Tixel Purchase Price”? Let’s break it down 👇

🎟️ Face Value

“Face Value” refers specifically to the base price printed on the ticket, excluding any added charges or services.

This means it does not include:

  • Service fees from the original ticket retailer
  • Taxes (e.g., entertainment tax, sales tax)
  • Delivery, shipping or handling fees

💰Original Purchase Price

This is what the original buyer actually paid at checkout when first purchasing the ticket from the primary seller. It includes:

  • The ticket’s face value
  • Original ticket retailer fees and taxes
  • Delivery, processing or handling charges
  • Any additional service or platform charges
